Semi Retired

Since 1989 when we married,  Steve has busted his butt to provide financially for our family; doing what ever was required.  He has been an amazing provider, husband, father and grandfather.  In 2003, he went back to school and became a fulltime dad for several years.  He now owns his own successful business.

I have been working full time since I graduated college in December 2005.  Before that I was a full time mom since 1990.  I had some interesting jobs and enjoyed the change.  This last job broke my desire to work for an employer.

We have been blessed to be able to become semi retired; we have been given the opportunity to be self supporting without a formal job.  No more morning alarms.  No more asking for vacation time.  No more metrics to hit.  We have purchased a membership to a vacation club that allows us to travel with little to no lodging cost so we will be traveling a lot more. We are excited to see and explore.

We are taking a vacation for a couple weeks then when we get back I have a list of things to be done.  Organize and clean my house and garage.  Sell off our shop inventory and clean up the shop.  As I clean up what I have neglected, I will wait on the Lord to show me what is next…the plans he has for our gift of freedom.   I excited at the ability to spend my life with Steve as much as we both can stand…
